With so much going on in Plattsburgh this year, it seems like the perfect time to showcase our community's spirit – to champion our residents' projects and interests, as well as welcome out-of-towners. What types of blog posts are we looking for? 

  • Community Spotlight: Highlighting individuals or groups making positive contributions to the community, such as volunteers, local businesses, or community organizations.
  • Event Preview/Recap: Summarizing recent shows, festivals, or activities
  • Arts and Culture: Highlighting local artists, musicians, performers, or cultural events that enrich the community's cultural landscape.
  • Community Resources: Sharing information about valuable resources available to residents, such as parks, libraries, community centers, or support services.
  • Environmental Initiatives: Discussing sustainability efforts, green initiatives, or environmental projects happening within the city, along with tips for residents to live more sustainably.
  • Neighborhood Feature: Showcasing different neighborhoods within the city, their unique characteristics, history, and notable landmarks.
  • Community Initiatives: Informing readers about ongoing community projects, initiatives, or campaigns, and how they can get involved or support them.
  • Local History: Exploring the history of the city, including significant events, landmarks, or notable figures.
  • Local Heroes: Recognizing individuals or groups who have gone above and beyond to help others or make a positive impact in the community
  • Personal Stories: Sharing personal experiences related to life in Plattsburgh, such as memorable moments, challenges overcome, or reasons for choosing to reside in the area.
  • Business Spotlights: Featuring local businesses, entrepreneurs, or startups, including interviews with business owners and behind-the-scenes glimpses.
