Something magical is coming to Margaret Street!

Join us on Saturday December 6th in Downtown Plattsburgh for an entire day of holiday magic!

  • Kids art activities at The Strand Center for the Arts
  • Merry Mugs fundraiser on The Strand front lawn
  • Pre Parade Warm Up Show on the stage at Margaret and Brinkerhoff Street
  • City of Plattsburgh parade
  • After parade - Tree Lighting on The Strand front lawn

Schedule of Events:

3:00PM - Kid's Art Activities, pictures with Santa, & Merry Mugs Fundraiser at the Strand. Food Trucks open on Margaret Street.

5:00PM - Center Stage Dance Performance at Trailer Stage

5:15PM - Encore Acapella Performance at Trailer Stage

5:30PM - Parade Starts

6:00PM - Tree Lighting & Candy Cane Quartet performance at the Strand

Event Information

Parade Route:

The Parade will travel down Brinkerhoff Street making a turn onto Oak Street, to Court Street and traveling east on Margaret Street where it will finish at the intersection of Margaret and Broad Street.

Parking:

Parking downtown is FREE. Some on-street parking will be closed due to the event. Event attendees are advised to park in the Durkee Street Parking lot, Arnie Pavone Parking Lot, Upper Court Street parking lot, or Lower Court Street Parking lot.

Accessibility:

Accessible parking will be located in the Arnie Pavone Parking lot on the Margaret Street side of the lot. The Quiet Zone will be located at the SE corner of Brinkerhoff and North Catherine Streets. This area is designated for people who would like a quieter parade experience as no sirens, music or flashing lights will be allowed in this area.

Food and Drink:

Food trucks will be parked on Brinkerhoff Street and many of Plattsburgh's downtown bars and restaurants will be open! Please check with individual businesses regarding hours of operation.
