It feels surreal being back in this beautiful city on Lake Champlain! On top of summer being on the horizon, life is bracing for the pursuit of happiness. We’re gearing up for graduations, sunny boating days, great local dining, and all the events that fill up the city calendar each year.
Now, you might be wondering, “Who is this behind the screen?” Well, let me give you a thrilling introduction to Nathaniel Sarnow: the city’s newest Community Development Intern, local gymnast, gardener-landscaper, Beekmantown High School grad, and current Northeastern University undergrad. I’m here to give you the inside scoop on everything going on in the City of Plattsburgh - and I intend to fulfill that promise to you.
Here at the Community Development Office, we’re working to strengthen how the city connects with you. Beyond council meetings and official channels, we’re excited to bring you new spaces, like this blog and our social media accounts, to share updates, spotlight local businesses, and, most importantly, hear what matters to you. From the youngest to oldest, everyone in Plattsburgh deserves their voices heard!
If you have questions or concerns about all things Plattsburgh, please reach out under the “contact” section of the “Discover Plattsburgh” website where you accessed our blog originally. There, you can write any feedback you would like, from website contents to questions on city government updates - all we ask is that questions or concerns are voiced to our team in a respectful manner.
I’ll be back soon, so make sure to look out for another blog update!
